I love submarine sammiches, I mean who doesn't? I usually stick with the spicy Italian subs, toasted untoasted. It is all good. But why pay $5.00? Well, other than it isn't a bad deal for an almost foot long sub.
So here is my version of a spicy Italian sub. I do admit i did not use the ham, too expensive.
For the sammich I used hard salami, which at some stores is $2.50-3.49 and then the pepperoni can be $3.49-4.69. I used provalone cheese and honey smoked turkey,too. I also used hoagie buns, which worked out great! Toast the sammiches and then add your favorite toppings. Such a good sammich.
